These standard duty, general purpose absorbent pads are made from polypropylene. Therefore they absorb all liquids including coolant, solvent, degreaser, paint, blood, mild acids and bases, oil, fuel, diesel, petrol and other hydrocarbons. Therefore, they are useful in workshops, schools, factories, warehouses and other general areas.
The grey colour identifies these general purpose pads. They absorb up to 20 times their own weight.
As a result, they have a high absorbency, are tough, durable, non-allergenic and non-hazardous. They do not chemically react with absorbed liquids and can be easily reused.
The absorbent capacity depends on liquid viscosity, specific gravity and temperature. Check the MSDS, compatibility chart or sample test, before using it on a specific chemical. The pads retain characteristics of the absorbed liquid. Therefore, wear PPE and follow local regulations.
General purpose absorbent pads come in packs of 50 or 100.
For power stations, generating facilities and hydraulic systems, use the low-lint GP absorbent pad.
